For more than 25 years, SWAT Hockey has hosted the SWAT Ice Melter hockey tournament, which is a season-ending tournament for tier 1 to tier 6
U-11 and U-13 hockey teams. This year’s tournament will take place from March 21 to 24, 2024 and we are recruiting volunteers to join the tournament’s organizing committee.

The tournament is extremely popular, and take a lot of work to organize and make it successful! Joining the Ice Melter tournament committee is a great way to complete your league volunteer requirement and learn more about what happens behind the scenes at SWAT Hockey.

Committee tasks include

  • gathering promotional items and apparel;
  • organizing hotel blocks for traveling teams;
  • game day preparation;
  • managing game sheets and results;
  • fundraising opportunities including an on-site raffle and silent auction; and
  • organizing volunteers and arena managers.
