If your hockey player is interested in trying out for SWAT’s U-11 AA team* this upcoming season, please take note of the following information about registration and tryout dates.

Registration and fees

  • The tryout fee for the U-11 AA team is $100. Each player is guaranteed two ice times, but may receive up to four ice times depending on how far they advance in the tryout process. The tryout fee covers ice time, referees and third-party paid evaluators.
  • Register for U-11 AA tryouts

Tryouts

  • Tryouts are scheduled to take place from Aug. 24 to 27. Players who register will be notified of their ice time approximately one week before the tryouts take place.
  • Tryouts will consist of skills, drills and games. Third-party evaluators will be at every session.
  • Initial cuts will be made after the second ice session and will continue until the team is formed.
  • The team is expected to be formed prior to September long weekend.
  • If your player does not make the U-11 AA team they will participate in regular season evaluations.

*Please note, the U-11 AA tryout is not mandatory. Regular evaluations will begin on Sept. 7 and 8. Information on regular evaluations will be shared later in August.
