SWAT Hockey evaluations have started! Please use the links available under each age category to view the most up-to-date schedules.

If your child’s name is not on one of the following lists, it may be due to an incomplete registration. If you have not completed your registration, email the SWAT Registrar at swat.registrar@gmail.com.

U-7

  • Junior (2019) and Senior (2018) Timbits will start skating on Sept. 21.
  • Discovery athletes (2020) will begin on Sept. 28 or Oct. 5.

Evaluation reminders and tips

  • Make sure you have all of the necessary hockey equipment for evaluations; full equipment is required for evaluations. Please note mouthguards are not mandatory.
  • Evaluation skates are not tryouts. They are drills and scrimmages that are used to group similar-skilled players together.
  • If possible, bring your child to the rink to skate before evaluations. This can help get the butterflies out before evaluations begin! Check out City of Edmonton public skate times.
  • Remember your water bottle!
  • Keep it fun. Evaluations should be fun for all of our athletes as having fun now paves the way to a great season of hockey.
  • A volunteer sign up email was shared on Aug. 31. If you signed up to volunteer during evaluations, please complete your volunteer shift. If you don’t show up to your shift, your deposit cheque will be cashed.
